LAWYERS

• Junior Lawyer 2+ Post Admission Experience (PAE)

We seek an enthusiastic and motivated lawyer with at least 2 years+ PAE to join our professional and happy team. We are a small busy legal practice which is growing from strength to strength. We promote a culture which encourages a positive work/life balance.

The role will expose you to a variety of interesting court work in various jurisdictions. We are looking for someone who is able to manage their own caseload with support from a Senior Solicitor and provide excellence in customer service. The applicant must demonstrate high interpersonal skills, time management skills; be able to appear in courts and conduct litigation.

• Associate 5+ Post Admission Experience (PAE)

Are you looking for a law firm designed to provide impressive financial benefits, flexible working conditions, and full support? Delta Legal is a small and progressive legal practice located in Perth CBD with the whole new approach to business practice.

The firm currently covers various areas of law including Corporate, Litigation, Property, General Commercial, Family, Wills and Criminal Law with an aim to extend its areas of expertise.

We are looking for an energetic experienced solicitor with at least five years post admission experience to work in various areas of law. The applicant must demonstrate high interpersonal and time management skills and be comfortable in using own initiative as well as be able to complete tasks accurately, efficiently and in timely manner with minimal or no supervision.  We also expect you to have experience with court work. Furthermore you would be also given an opportunity to build your own client base and have high level of autonomy in managing your own matters.

Prior experience in PI and/or Criminal Compensation is a bonus but not essential.  

We seek a lawyer with:

• 5+ post admission experience in any area of law and/or the proven ability to quickly learn new areas;

• Strong attention to detail and superb written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated use of initiative

• Ability to work autonomously and part of a team

• Efficiency in computer skills

• Maturity and confidence to deal with clients and appear in court

• Being able to conduct litigation.

Work Experience

Delta Legal is currently taking applications from students in second year and above for unpaid work experience couple days per week.

Successful applicant will be carrying out various tasks including: research, answering the phone and assisting our professional staff, etc. This position may lead to paid work.

• Practical Legal Training (PLT)

Delta Legal is currently looking for a PLT student who wishes to gain practical experience to start as soon as possible.

As an intern you may be asked to perform the following tasks under the supervision of senior lawyers:

• Legal research;

• Assist in drafting correspondences;

• Assist in drafting and compiling court documents;

• Filing of court documents;

• Follow up with client files; and

• Data entry (occasionally).

In addition, during the performance of the above tasks you are likely to be exposed to various conferences with a client, the opposing lawyers and Court attendances.

This is unpaid position with possibility of turning into permanent position.
